The federal government has reopened the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos state after rehabilitation works.
Announcing this via his Twitter handle on Saturday 27th February 2021, Babatunde Fashola, minister of works and housing said ”Third mainland bridge rehab completed. Fully opens to traffic at 12noon today. Thank you all for your patience. Drive safely,”.

Confirming this also today from his twitter handle, Mr Gawat the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor of Lagos State on New Media said “3MB INVESTIGATION UPDATE [1:30pm]: Third Manland Bridge is FULLY OPENED. Drive Carefully and STAY SAFE.”

The Third Mainland bridge was partially shut for repairs on July 24, 2020.
