Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu was Special Guest of Honour at the Digital Launch and Reception to mark the landing of Equiano sea cable systems in Lagos, Nigeria. The cable is named after Olaudah Equiano, Nigerian-born writer and abolitionist.
Director Google West Africa, Juliet Ehimuan explains the importance of this Project and what the future holds for the ecosystem .. Better Internet, Cheaper Internet, Job Creation and many more. 
She also explained that this Cable Landing will provide approximately “20 times more Network Capacity” than the last cable built to serve the region. She thanked the Government of Lagos State under the leadership of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu & the Elegushi Family.
